Go ahead… find the ridiculous in this skit… Jaime’s a little confused in what it really means to follow God. Check yourself… it’s pretty easy to make up our own "Checklists" in what we think it means to please God? Enjoy this skit if you missed it or one more time for a chuckle. May 20. Pastor JeffThanks to our Heroes! It’s what it’s all about when all is said and done. Stepping out and believing that God has called us to make a difference...Yes! That’s us. That’s the Cristian life. Unlikely Heroes. Unlikely in the sense that we are just average Joe’s… But that’s not what our Lord and Christ seems to think. Simon was just your average Simon until Jesus saw more. He even named it… Peter, meaning the Rock (or Rocky). It didn’t happen overnight but Simon did indeed become a Rock… Not just for himself but for others. Your contributions to our team matter...because you are a part of the team. Thank you to all of you who serve! WE thank you.
Easter 2009Easter service was more than great… it was phenomenal. Not only did we have a powerful message, but "The Easter Song" was very moving. You can experience it again by clicking here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS0AntULxWM

Mar 26. Pastor JeffThis has been a good series for me personally. i.e The subject of Love from a Bible based view point. It’s bigger than you think it is… but because of its practical commands and instructions it’s not at first seen. Everyone understands Love, right? It’s that feeling you get when you really like someone or something. Feeling? Therein lies the problem. It’s a subject we think we know because we define it as a feeling and yet we don’t practice it. Why? Because we think we know it! It sounds so obvious and practical and we feel it… so we assume we understand Love. Simple question: Do we fully understand God? Obviously not! Well, God is this Love, substance, nature we’ve been talking about… It (Love) defines His essence. So I think it’s safe to say we have more to learn, unlearn, and to practice when it comes to this most very of very important subjects in the Word Of God. I still think John the Apostle said it best..."God is Love, and the man whose life is lived in Love does, in fact, live in God, and God does, in fact, live in Him." I John 4:16. That makes more sense to me… in other words, there’s no such thing as a real and deep spirituality apart from God and His Love.
So, what do you say? Let’s not lose this momentum for the subject of Love. I’m convinced therein lies ultimate freedom and peace. At all costs let’s determine to learn a little more each day and to do the practicing of it until it’s like a second nature to us… in us… really, that’s getting to the heart of the matter… God wants us to be this Love as He is this Love. It does say we are His children by the Spirit… right?
Mar 16. Pastor Ken & family
Donita and I are expecting… as in the family way. We are highly anticipating the arrival of our third child who is due to make his grand entrance into the world - literally at any moment (March 19 is our due date!) Donita is going through all the struggles of labor… the aches, pains, pressure, etc. She is doing well. She is definitely a trooper, but pray for her. It’s got me thinking. I mean, we’re anticipating this tremendous blessing… a blessing from God! But it’s prefaced by all this pain, difficulty, “uncomfortableness.” Then Donita said a simple, yet profound thing. She said, “Just being in God’s will doesn’t mean you’re without struggle.” Wow! We all want things to be easy. We want a life without pain and struggle, but that kind of life doesn’t exist (at least not on this side of heaven!). So believe God is working in your life even when you don’t “feel” it. God does do miracles, but most often His greatest blessings come through our darkest moments.
