Thanks for your support and prayers Christ Life Church!! We are going strong and moving forward. "Your Church and mine!" As of today, we have 18 families signed up to be part of the CLC gang! That’s great news! Again as a new staff we have taken a little extra time to make sure our membership info and teaching was up to date and ready to take us forward. We believe that to be the case. And we even finished membership month with a little talk on heaven...i added that to our statement of faith, too.
Our next teaching series will be on finances from a Bible-based view point… It’s called "How To Be Rich"… notice I didn’t say how to "Get Rich." There is a difference!
Don’t forget the new member luncheon which will be this coming Sunday for the families that are joining the church at this time.
June 10. Pastor KenThe week of June 23-27 our youth will be attending IMPACT Summer Youth Camp in Hillsdale, Michigan. It’s been over 15 years since I’ve taken students to youth camp and I can’t begin to tell you how pumped I am about this week for our youth. This camp is going to offer our students an opportunity to experience the presence of God, realize that He has a great plan for their lives, and be transformed by the power of His love --- all in an action-packed, energetic, and safe environment. What more could you want! I encourage you to pray for all of us who are going, staff and students, to have a life-changing week. I know you will hear some great reports of what God has done when we return.
June 5. Pastor RodneyI want to say Thank You to everyone for your prayers and support while I was in Western Samoa last month. I was in Apia, the capital city, for 10 days teaching at ‘Rhema Bible Training Center South Pacific’. The school is now in its 11th year and is going strong. Rhema South Pacific is a two year program and has around 100 students this year. The weather is always wonderful there – about 90 degrees in the shade and only about 95% humidity level. May 29. Pastor JeffThis is membership month and I hope those of you who have expressed your interest in such are as exited as I am. We have revamped the format to fit your needs as well as our own. Part of what we are shooting for is the filming of this course for future use. That is, to use as a home-course on DVD. etc. The audio recording of these sessions will be made available and are free of charge! Just check in at the Guest Services booth!
May 19. Pastor KenI truly hope everyone enjoyed Nathan Clark George on Sunday. Like me, I’m sure you were impacted at a deep level. I love Nathan’s style and he is certainly a gifted vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist. But mostly I walked away impressed with Jesus. Nathan sure helped us see our need for Jesus, didn’t he? (calling us “scumbags” kind of made it clear!). That was funny, blunt…and right. I desperately need Jesus. Without Him I can do nothing. I am reminded of the old hymn that says, “My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.” May this be true of each of us every day!
